Our Story

From Packing to Manufacturing

Alex Cape Holdings was founded with a single clear purpose: to provide South Africa's defence, humanitarian, and institutional sectors with the most rigorously produced, nutritionally complete food solutions available locally.

We began as a food packing specialist, assembling and sealing certified ration components into deployable packages. Our roadmap includes expanding into full food manufacturing — processing raw ingredients through to finished, shelf-stable products, entirely in-house.

Our Journey

Company Timeline

Year 1
Established Alex Cape Holdings. Commenced food packing operations for institutional clients, focusing on portioned dry goods and basics.
Year 2
Achieved Halaal certification. First military ration pack contracts secured. Expanded cold-chain and retort pouch packing capabilities.
Year 3
ISO 22000 and HACCP certification obtained. Full MRE line launched across 6 menus. Entered humanitarian relief supply sector.
Now
12 MRE menus in production. Commencing planning phase for full in-house food manufacturing facility.
Future
Vertical integration into food manufacturing — from raw ingredient to finished product, 100% in-house, 100% South African.
